Team USA Men’s Vollyball played their final match of the 2017 Summer Deaflympics today at the Mustafa Dagistanli Sports Hall. The men were pumped up to face Japan in the competition to determine the 7th and 8th places in the games. A small but enthusiastic crowd was on hand to cheer on the teams. The final event for the Deaflympics’ Golf had everyone on the course tittering.
Team USA’s Kaylin Yost fought hard to catch up from being down three on the 6th hole with two bogies but she was able to pick up with two straight birdies on the 7th and 8th holes that had her just one down behind the leader, Dagar from India. Team USA Cycling competed in the Points Race today. The Points Race is an event that typically takes place on velodromes, which has banked turns to allow for continuous pedaling throughout the entire competition. Team USA Women’s Volleyball had their final pool play match today, Saturday, July 22nd, facing Brazil, a rematch of the 2016 Pan Am Games, held in Washington DC.
